Obi-Wan and GI Joe

Well, hello everybody.

Life has been flowing along at a steady pace.  I'm currently working on the fourth draft of the Monster screenplay.  I spent some time in Thousand Oaks, California with a dear friend and mentor, Bill Myers, who is himself an accomplished author and film director, and he played Obi-Wan Kenobi to my Luke Skywalker, telling me all manner of wisdom and insight regarding being a director.  We also went through the screenplay and he made comments and suggestions; hence my current work on the fourth draft.
Thought you might find these pictures interesting.  While working on the script I wanted to test out a few ideas in a 3-D storyboard, so I went on eBay and bought a whole bunch of G.I. Joe's, clothing, and equipment so I could set up a movie location on my kitchen counter.  Was it fun?  Well, it sure brought back memories of being a kid.  That's the fun thing about storytelling and making movies: it's still playing pretend.
I expect that we'll begin scouting locations and making casting calls in just a few months.  I'll let you know what happens when anything happens.  Thanks for stopping by.
